"For this child I prayed;
and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him."

~1 Samuel 1:27~

It has just been fun to receive so many emails the past few weeks.

Some of my favorites have been those ordering a special necklace

for their very first Mother's Day!

And even though I can't hear it in their "voice",

their excitement can't be missed.

I'm sure many have waited a long time.

To be a mother.

And to celebrate this special day with their child.

So with this in mind,

I designed this necklace to honor them.

To enter, leave me a comment...
tell me one thing you LOVE about being a mom
OR
one thing you LOVE about your own mom!

The first twenty people to comment will receive an extra entry.

So go on, tell your friends.

That's five possible entries :)

Entries will be accepted until Monday, May 3rd at midnight MST.

A winner will be randomly drawn and announced on Tuesday!

Best part,

the winner has their choice of one of the two necklaces pictured above.

Of course, the top necklace with be personalized with your name of choice ;)

And my favorite,

the little "mom" heart...

that's what I'll be wearing on Mother's Day.

p.s. just a note about the necklace pictured first... I must apologize for the quality of the photo :) I missed my opportunity for the best lighting today, so it's a bit difficult to see the detail. The top disc is textured and the bottom disc shiny. The sweetest, pink Swarovski pearl and sterling silver heart charm dangle to the side. If your child is a boy, we'll substitute a white pearl instead ;)

  1. Have I told you that I just LOVE your necklaces?!?!? They are beautiful!!

I pray every day for the child in China that will someday be mine.

What I love most about my mom is that she always supports me in whatever I do and she stands by me 100%. Even when I made bad decisions (and believe me, there were many) she was there for me. I hope and pray that I can be as great of a mom as she is.

    Thanks~

  2. Kim-
What I love about being a mom is those mile stones when you see them roll over or walk or talk for the first time.
And what I love about our Mom is she makes me laugh all the time. Like when she searches for her glasses and they are on top her head the whole time. Oh and so many other stories like this one! She reminds me of grandma more and more each day!

  3. How can i pick just one thing I love about being a mom?! I'm a first time mom to a little boy adopted from China last fall. He amazes me everyday with something new. I guess the thing I love most is when he places his sweet hands on my cheeks and squeezes them pulling me closer to his face, that followed with him wrapping his precious arms around me and giving me a hug with a "mmm, mmm" (you know that sound you make when you hug someone with all of your being!) Ahhhh... being the mom to a little boy is fabulous!
Many blessings to all the moms out there!

  4. I, like Jennifer, and having a problem picking one thing I love about being a Mom. I love the joyful look and the screams of "Mommy!" when I walk in the room. I love hugging my little ones when they hurt. I love cuddling while we read together.I love the smell of newborn babies and children who have had fun outside. I love hearing about the latest adventure from my older children. I love it when I see a light bulb moment. I love watching our children love each other and enjoying each other. I love being crazy with them. I love hearing their jokes and stories. I am learning to love a messy home because that means we are having fun together. I love watching them grow into strong young people who love the Lord. Happy Mohter's Day to all!

  7. Your jewelry is beautiful and I just LOVE the first necklace you pictured here! I am a first time mom as well to a 22 month old from China and I feel like I have waited my whole life to have a little one. EVERYTHING about being a mom is awesome even when he is "terrible"! But, I especially love when he wakes up in the morning and I go in his room and he waves at me then reaches to have me pick him up!
I would love to win one of your pieces and would wear it proudly!

  8. It's the first time I visit your blog and your necklaces are truly beautiful! I'm the lucky mother of 2 littles fairies from China and what I love most in my life are their smiles, their beautiful eyes looking at me,their little hands holding mine, their cuddling and hugging and most of all they make me melt when they tell me: I love you mummy!
Oh! what a precious gift for me.
What I loved most about my dear mummy was her smile, her kindness, her devotion for her family despite her terrible sickness and her courage...She passed away 3 months before we met our first little girl in China et never met her, but I know in my heart that she's watching over her 2 littles angels and over me and I hope she thinks that I'm a good mother...I miss her so, but hopefully, my little girls are my precious pearls.

  9. Oh the joys of motherhood!!!

What I love about being a mom is getting to watch a little bundle of trouble grow into a young person then an adult. Watching a piece of you in your kids as they grow and learn.

What I love most about my mom is... well I just can't narrow it down to one thing! I never really thought of my mom as just my mom. She is my best friend! Everyday I see a little more of her in me and I have to smile... I'm actually becoming my mom! Which at one point in my life I would have been embarrassed about and now I am very proud of! I love her dearly!

  10. I think my most favorite thing about being a mom is hearing my son call "MOMMA" loudly when I come home from work every day. It is the best sound in the world and I simply cannot hear it enough!

    P.S. I am already a follower!
